North Carolina Aquaculture Association - West Producer’s Meeting

The NC Aquaculture Association will hold a West Producer’s Meeting (trout, cold water/flow through) on Tuesday, September 3rd, at the Macon County Ag Center - 193 Thomas Heights Rd, Franklin, NC 28734.

The East Producer Meeting (warm water/RAS) date is TBD and targeted for late October or November. More information will be sent in the coming weeks.

Both meetings will have an in-person and online attendance option for your convenience. Online meeting links will be sent to only those registered.

• 11:30 NCSU-NCCE, USDA-FSA and Soil and Water welcome and announcements
• 12:00 NCAA-NCDA Update – highlight partnership and work with DWR; NCDA website and license changes; Industry Needs assessment – Randy Gray, Aubrey Onley, Howard Brown, Debra Sloan and Pete Anderson
• 12:30 NCFB Update – details and parameters of the proposed NPDES permit, introduction of Laura Kilian – Keith Larick and Laura Kilian
• 1:00 NCWRC Update – David Deaton
• 1:30 NCCE Update – George Selden
• 2:00 Open Session for Growers – Comments, Questions or Concerns
