The National Aquaculture Association (NAA) Annual Membership Meeting

February 18, 2024 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, Central Time, during Aquaculture America 2024 in Room 3 of the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter

The membership meeting will consist of an update to membership on activities during 2023, plans for advocacy efforts in 2024, a financial report, an announcement by the appointed Inspectors of Election of the two successful candidates elected by the membership to represent the Individual member category to the Board of Directors, and caucuses by National or Regional Aquaculture Associations and State or Species Aquaculture Associations that are NAA members, respectively, to fill two open Board of Director membership positions.

National/Regional and State/Species Association Elections

Two Board of Director positions representing the aquaculture association member category are open for election for three year terms.

  •  A national or regional aquaculture association position currently held by Kim Thompson, Pacific Coast Shellfish Growers Association.
  • A state or species aquaculture association position currently held by Jamie Anderson, Arkansas Bait and Ornamental Fish Growers Association.

Association representatives to the Board of Directors must be from NAA member associations, receive a majority of their direct income from commercial aquaculture animal or plant production and will serve on the Board of Directors without compensation.
