New Health Certificate for Exporting Live Aquatic Animals from the United States to Montenegro
The United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has announced the new health certificate for exporting live aquatic animals from the United States to Montenegro, effective December 4, 2023. This is the first official live animal export market APHIS has negotiated to Montenegro, and applies to fish, crustaceans, mollusks, and other live aquatic animals. More information regarding the export requirements and associated health certificate are on the APHIS International Regulations (IRegs) web page for Montenegro (USDA APHIS | Montenegro).
Please note that this certificate can be uploaded into APHIS’ online Veterinary Export Health Certification System (VEHCS), and Montenegro accepts both electronic issuance by your Accredited Veterinarian and digital endorsement by APHIS. For more information on VEHCS visit USDA APHIS | Country Acceptance List for VEHCS.
