SAA Announces 2025 Request for Proposals to Demonstrate Use of Soy in Aquaculture
Deadline now extended to Feb 1, 2025!
The Soy Aquaculture Alliance's (SAA) primary focus is to support studies demonstrating the commercial use of soy products in aquaculture. With the rising costs of aquafeed, SAA is interested in studies that examine soybeans and value-added products including soy meal, soy protein concentrate, soy lecithin, and fermented soy as a protein source that reduces feed expenses while enhancing aquatic performance, contributing to farm profitability.
Priority aquatic species include but are not limited to shrimp, salmon, trout, hybrid striped bass, largemouth bass, and catfish. Single- or multi-year project proposals may be submitted; as funding is awarded on an annual basis, approved multi-year studies are subject to review annually for continuation of funding.
